Just like the rest of the world at the moment. Ive been really into RnB and have been loving the comeback its making. This lofi RnB / Funk / Beats takeover comes from a little of all genres. A bookmark in time, Ghost Modernism. The reverby emotion it conveys is right down our alley here. And have been loving all the new acts that have been popping up. These are just a few of the artists i’ve been super excited about. Watch for more posts on these and more artists and possibly a new mix series. Enjoy!
My first notice of this style of music was the RXRY “RxB mixtape he put out for Stadiums & Shrines about a year ago.
I was just listening to Falcon Punch‘s 001 mix today, thinking how much I missed really good disco house. Scrolling through my daily soundcloud’s I see Falcon Punch just released a new mix with his new track “Illusions” as the opener. Check it out. I haven’t been posting as much as I used to and definitly haven’t been posting Disco House as much as I used to. I hope this one makes up for it! Thanks Falcon Punch. Bringin it back on home.. look at that setlist!
TineZ always brings the heat and does it well. I first heard of him when he sent me a mix that was a warmup for a Rustie. I have since listened to all of his mixes at least more than once. His track selection is impecable and the mixing never sloppy. So I went to check on his soundcloud today to see he posted a 2012 mix! All I have to say is look at that track list.
Mimicswow… ive never even heard of this guy and the first thing i hear im grasped.. While sample based and heavily influenced.. Its also very very original. Its been on repeat for days. I dont think they’re on a label. But I would love to do a vinyl or cassette split with this guy. I think this would sound amazing on a cassette. This is my inspiration. This is dopewave. ~vintage sounds, modern life~

Our mysterious, hardest working, and favorite artist in the electronic industry at the moment (in my opinion at least) dropped a quick 20-minute signature ℳ.Ⅰ.✕. †.▲.℘.Σ. for Fake Diamonds Clothing(another fave) today, making that his third mix thus far. I know, we just posted about Slow Magic, but he really is our favorite over here at Bummer Bit. As explained in the post below, he priemered his first ℳ.Ⅰ.✕. †.▲.℘.Σright here on Bummer Bit Radio, which was amazing, considering at the time our site wasn’t even finished. He was the first person I’ve contacted to do a guest mix. Surprisingly, he was more than happy to do it (and so was I). His newest track “moon” that dropped a few days ago, almost completes his album, though it is still up in the air on who will distribute it or what label he will go with. He has said that he expects a vinyl release in the EU under a smaller label, with a few big names on it. I won’t disclose anymore on this because it isn’t set in stone yet. But seriously; why hasnt this man been signed in th U.S.?!? He’s got chops, he’s got the skill, he’s gained a fan base pretty much all by himself with only bloggers promoting him. I would kill to see him get signed to an amazing label likeGhostly or moodgadget. Sam Valenti IV!! Jakub!!! Scott Hansen!!! This man needs signed. If I had the money to press vinyl, I would be on this like a heartbeat. Think about it. He fits right in. Graphic designer, glowing beats, slo-fi bliss. I don’t know. I’m a huge fan of moodgadget/ghostly/iso50 and I really think he fits in one of those. He deserves the recognition they could give him. Just think, a Slow Magic Ghostlycast?!?!!? I can dream can’t I? I hope Jakub or Scott read this and truly take into consideration the perfect fitting of aSlow Magic addition. He’s not just hype; he’s the real deal, folks.
Bonus: the design above is another one of Slow’s fantastic designs and will be the cover of his new LP which which hasn’t officially been announced yet . Fake Diamonds Clothingwilll be releasing a shirt design in colaboriation with Slow Magic’s release.
This was recorded in front of a live computer audience.
Some of my favorite tracks at the moment, beats, leans, and dopewave.

Bedroom sample laden, beathead, and slo jam dj/producer raahta, set to drop an album in the coming weeks; check out his soundcloud for the sampler. Until then, here’s some classic tape deck poppin’ jams for you to nod your head to like it was ’94.
