Shoutcast Setup Tutorial

Step 1: Download shoutcast DSP here: http://download.nullsoft.com/shoutcast/tools/shoutcast-dsp-2-2-3-windows.exe

Install it. Good job you’re halfway there. It should open automatically, if not:

Click on DSP/Effect under Plugins, then Shoutcast Source DSP on the right:

Step 2: Stream info to put in Shoutcast:

Host: fire.wavestreamer.com

Password:  (Ask atetraxxx, curbcheckkk, loth, scara, or anybody for current password)
User ID: [leave this blank]
Max Bitrate: 128kbps

Step 3: Make sure the source is what you want it to be. For example, here it is set to the soundcard input of the Stereo Mix (baically the ‘What you Hear’ of Windows 7)

That’s it, you’re done! You should now be able to connect to our radio server and stream :) If it didn’t work, and nobody else is currently connected, see the troubleshooting below:

HELP I STILL CANT CONNECT:

1.  Make sure the “Use SHOUTcast v1 mode (for legacy servers)” under the Connection tab is UNSELECTED.

2.  Did you remember to select Encoder Type MP3 128kbps under the Encoder tab?

3.  Do you have the right password correctly typed in?

4. Is anyone else currently connected? (This WILL prevent your client from connecting to the server!!)
